Just did this myself recently. It's not as scary as it might seem. You might get a mild case of home sickness but will eventually get used to it. Besides, changes are wherever you go things won't be all 'that' different.

I did a few years ago albeit it was only a couple hours drive and it was just across a state line. It took some adjusting too but the only downside is that I'm not one who makes new friends very easily at least irl. As long as you have a job and a place to crash, it's not hard to get into a routine with your new place. Look around your area to see what there is to do. A lot of cities have local reddits where you can ask about things about the area, to do, etc.

I did it yet again about a month ago. At this point I've lived in four states and have found that things really don't change 'that' much from one to another.
