Do You Wash Your Shoes In The Machine?

A while back, my ex girlfriend used to wash her sneakers in the washing machine. I personally wash my shoes by hand with a tub of hot water and an old brush. Never have I placed my kicks in with my clothes. Now on my way to work I heard a commercial advertise on the radio that Sketchers has made a machine washable sneaker! I mean, does anyone really want to do that though? What if you stepped in something like dog or horse poo? Rather stick to my method or simply use a copious amount of Febreze.

Depends on the shoe, but yeah I've done a machine wash before. Sometimes they came out okay, sometimes not. I typically clean the bottoms first though.

Nah fam, girly decided to toss everything in together! I couldn't believe it! The whole time they were in there I just kept hearing them clang back and forth like a racket ball. She told me "how else do you clean them?" And I was like, " soap, water, and a brush by hand." She replied "fuck that! Oh and we need more detergent from the store." I've done them in the washer with towels and shit to keep the load balanced and so they don't get destroyed banging against the washer
