Are people fantasizing about living in a game?

Lately anime and manga have been about reincarnate inside video games. Or going full drive so do we atoku's want to Reincarnate in another world.

It's always an RPG they get reincarnated into. Do something different. Like reincarnate into a princess rescue platformer, or maybe an arena FPS like Quake III or Team Fortress 2.

Why not, a fresh start to anything is always invigorating. Imagine being a protagonist of your preferred world. Gives you purpose, something most people have lost.

I've been enjoying the surge of isekai content immensely. There is a lot of appeal to treading every day life in a world with a different set of rules. Our world can feel stale with not much left to be discovered in comparison to the fancy of things like magic.

I wanna see an anime where the MC is a knight (not Subaru) set in the From Software universe like "Dark Souls" or "Sekiro" against horrible scary/badass creatures. Yes, basically like ReZero only with a dark souls story.

I would enjoy something reminiscent of The Twelve Kingdoms. But really give me a fantasy world where there's adventure and plenty of things left to be discovered and I'll sign in blood yesterday.
