My base has started wearing the 2027 patch to represent the year china intends to invade taiwan. They have even been provoking our pilots, as well as our navy.

Just wanted to say they're a little late on those shirts as Taiwan's been a Chinese Republic since 1945 and a fair number of their citizens openly identity as Chinese. Though it's true there are native Taiwanese people who have lived on the island before Chinese settlers (such as my aunt's family) and whom have their own language, the correct way to refer to what's happening is to say, How much longer will the island be allowed to govern itself autonomously before the mainland brings down martial law?

While china has been influencing taiwan by proxy. I feel as though the majority of taiwan wishes for independence from china. China and taiwan are 2 separste country. See i could care less if taiwan themselves wanted to WILLINGLY join china. But just based off the taiwanese nurses that came to learn from us at my base how to conduct medical care. I dont quite think they are willing to join china. America has fallen as a nation of power and many dont respect us. If we dont defend Taiwan as a country who wants independence then GG. If im being honest all china needs to do is somehow get a pro china dictator in office and willingly have them hand over taiwan and they can avoid US intervention altogether. But no china needs to take it by force because we have already set our eyes on taiwan and its a show of force move.
