My issue with blaming any country but one's own is that it avoids taking any significant action towards valuable change. I can agree the United States should set a better example for the world. That said, what has the European Union been doing all this time? I am well aware there has been in fighting amongst the UK, Spain, France, Greece, and Germany on how they should manage resource distribution as well as foreign aid. https://i.ani.me/0338/7334/grey.jpg As for the precious self righteous Netherlands and Deutsch people they historically have kept themselves close enough to the action to syphon off a piece of the money pie, but distant from any consequences of doing so. As in, they let the bigger nations foot the bill with interest when payment comes due. https://i.ani.me/0338/7334/grey.jpg How often does Northern Europe take in refugees? The United States and Canada have taken in more foreigners than most. This means that we're taking on many other countries' challenges too! The Kingdom of Denmark of which your profile claims to hail from may in fact be a statistically quieter region. That however is mostly because that area doesn't let just any random person into their boarders. Denmak and Sweden enjoy having selective control over the distribution of responsibility towards world affairs while the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, and Germany do the bulk of the heavy lifting. https://i.ani.me/0338/7334/grey.jpg All this to say, check one's privilege! If a country purposefully keeps itself small and out of sight from global conflict, how then can they say, "But y'all need to do better! Why can't you be more selective with your population like us? We discriminate 90% of the world's migrant population. How else do you think we keep the peace? Oh my, did someone discover natural resources in Africa? Don't mind us rushing in to get first dibs on those precious resources. Let that be a lesson to you America. Stop being so greedy and share!" https://i.ani.me/0340/2005/screenshot_20221014-170215-214.png https://i.ani.me/0340/2009/screenshot_20221014-170135-085.png

Personally I am trying to do my best, trying to improve. Holding on to my past mistakes and things that were just pushed on me, that I did not do is somewhat pathetic. I made up to every mistake I made. Using past statments veru do somehow descredit me is just stupid. Most of the screenshots you posted are things I litereally critisized a year ago and reflect todays political problems. Critique does not mean hate. I try to be better every day. Though I cannot change anyones makeshift image that you or others have in your mind. Dislike me as a person if you must but do not use that dislike to discredit my arguments. Those are 2 different topics.

@a1phy Xy is Timelessness. This goes back before you joined. He's been banned for harassing another user. IMO they should have both been banned because they both seemed to instigate things. The community tried to help to deescilate things, talk them into ignoring each other but they wouldn't. To a point, it was even suspected that they were both the same user, just having arguments back and forth for attention. I don't think they are, but damn they are both so similar. Anyway, he seems to have let go finally of his thing with that user, but the last few times he has popped up on MO it's only until one of the mods discover it is in fact a banned person ban evading. That's all the decision of mods and Seph. I don't care. https://media.tenor.com/t3d5NXYnJTkAAAAM/anime-kobayashi-dragon-maid.gif @justthisguy And Xy, remember the last time you got the boot you dragged me into it. I heard you out. That's all fine. My critique of your arguments has nothing to do with your past and what happened. It's entirely separate. So why identify you? To show you are someone that's been around before, not a new person to have new conversations. And it's not discredit if it's just facts and observations. Your arguments are so cookie cutter and the screengrabs were to show that I could identify you by just the way you try to argue. https://data.whicdn.com/images/289137173/original.gif Just rebutles about journalism and sources and how nothings good enough because that's what you went to school for, right? You know people can go to school for something and still not be the best or experts in their field, correct? You can gloss over my knowledge and expertise in Healthcare and social work, but at least I try to talk on your level and provide sources to support my points. You do not. It's just all bad faith arguments that go no where. https://i0.wp.com/thumbs.gfycat.com/MedicalDazzlingAzurewingedmagpie-size_restricted.gif Man, it's really scary how much Xynox and Xypho are alike. The last time she popped her head out and made her presence known she was talking US politics too and it's kinda amazing that you both go about it the same way. Both know better about America than Americans that live here. Do you know how incredibly pompous that comes off? I'll give you some credit and say maybe it's a language barrier on top of cultural differences. So yeah, your past has nothing to do with the bad faith arguments.

@justthisguy Also PBS and NPR are our biggest public media news sources but they are still deserving of investigating because they two have their agendas and biases. Now if you want to talk grass roots journalism, that's actually growing here and has been pretty steady in popularity since so much trust has been lost from mainstream media. There are dozens of independent journalists that have made it or are making it via social media, YouTube, Twitter, and podcasts, for example. Some have even launched their own media companies. Tim Pool, Philip DeFranco, Luke Rudkowski, Project Veritas, Russell Brand shockingly is doing a fantastic job on deep dive journalism though he's not American he covers mostly American dealings, you might actually like watching some of his stuff because you both seem to be coming from the same place with criticisms of US politics. ....and these are ones with heavy focus on socio-political topics and events. Then you have some that are less creating journalism but more sharing current events like Memology and John Talks, some that are more commentators like Decoy Voice, Ruined Leon, Podcast of the Lotus Eaters (UK but deals with American politics ocassionally.) If you are saying our mainstream media is garbage, we can agree to that definitely and the American people are realizing it more and more everyday (especially now). I honestly think MSM is dying here or at least on life support while the new media and journalists come up stronger on the horizon.

I did not scramble down your sources. Neither did I try to establish myself as something superior in a field of knowledge. Personally I am more of a geopolitics guy. My arguments are certanly have a European bias. Which is normal. Where Americans have an American bias. I have nothing against you but those anime memes and that "got you" post feel a little hostile, at least for me. Idk might be culutural differences or I take it the wrong way. Again I never had any intentions to tell how Americans have to be and or live or that I know more about America than any Americans. The most thing I hear a lot when engaging with people from other countries is how that Germans complain a lot. And we do, that might be why it comes off ass annoying or offensive when I write something like that. Guess just wanted to drop by for a second and rant in the political rant thread. Good bye guys.

@justthisguy I use pics and gifs in my posts regularly anyway but this time it was honestly used for paragraph spacing since we can no longer do that. It was too clunky of a bit to just throw out there and I wanted to pace myself. As I said, language barrier and cultural differences. I didn't mean it as a "got you" at least by way of arguments. Maybe more in a sense as I caught a repeat new user. And like aleph said, I too thought you could have been Tiki as well but the syntaxes/language suggested otherwise. Anyhoo, at least 3 mods know you are here and you're still around so, maybe you're safe to stay this time.
