I think its about time japan took back its own military. See im all for our allies gaining military mightn America should stop being scared of pearl harbor 2 and instead being worried about how our allies are weak af. Quick reminder all of europe was getting their asses handed to them by the germans, and it took UsS intervention to stop that war. Beforr anyone says Americans think highly of ourselves and that wasnt the case let me remind you who was supplying weapons and WHY japan attacked in the first place.

When there is no more America remember there will be no where for people to run. Like those Afghan refugees could run to us after we pulled out. But we cant run anywhere. America is the last line of freedom. You take us out and the world is doomed we are literally holding the world up on our backs and we are one of the youngest nation among our allies.

@nebelstern Actually, the topic was on the table ever since Russia reallocated many of their troops to Ukraine, and all those sanctions went up. Japan saw that, then noticed those Kurill Islands that still had a territorial dispute over were left in a vulnerable position. They were just like "nows our chance!" Abe's assassination just kinda happened and got wrapped into it. But you are right. They do have China sitting there and doing all that saber rattling. That's certainly another excuse.

Illegal Immigration does infact ruin the country. Alot of conservatives dont know wtf they are talking about and the left will take the most extreme version of the right and use that to prove themselves right when infact they are wrong. Illegal immigration simply in unfair. Unfair to those who go years the normal way trying to become a citizen, the fact that afghanis who came here legitimately and with government assistance that skipped the regular process altogether are basically homeless and begging for jobs and money, the fact since they have no papers and ways to track them as a citizen they can be murdered, trafficked or underpaid and overworked living in unsuitable conditions. Even if they got here illegally and have legal children their child will have to bare the weight of their whole family. Thats not even including things such as owing the cartel money for guiding them down their territory.
