Oh, I didn't realize what you were asking. What really happens is that budding politicians take a far out possibility in the back of everybody's minds, then capitalizes on it with a hyperbolic smear campaign, and when the dust is clear, and they are sitting in office, the oil and coal corporations hand them a fat check for suppressing its development and growth. So yeah, cold war anxiety, plus a monopoly on the industry.

@projectotakux i had to go back to see what you said ok, so gender and sex are treated differently. we actively use gender and sex differently, we just tend to not notice wallee from that pixar movie is a robot. he has no genitalia. he has no sex. yet we refer to him and see him as male. why if he has no penis? because having a sex organs does not make gender. gender is a state of mind. we gender objects with no genitalia all the time. boats are commonly referred to with female pronouns. why? because we dont use gender as a way of referring to something with a penis or vagina. its simply a state of mind, or we project those traits common with those who identify as male or female onto objects.

I have no issue with nuclear. Solar fields are kinda tacky anyways.. but if i dont have to depend on my states archaic grid than id be better off with solar on my house. The power grid is painfully inefficient. We basically produce power on demand and dont store any of it. Instead of revamping shit states would rather tell you to not use AC or charge your car during certain hours lol.

@projectotakux well expectations put on men and women is a different conversation then the set of traits that are associated with male and female. its because of these traits (real or exaggerated) that expectations are then put on men and women traits for men and women tend to vary ofcourse, there are men who are more emotional than some women, and there are women with no maternal instinct and men with vast paternal instinct but there is still a trend in these characteristics that correlate with having a vagina or a penis. robots dont have sex, but we can assign them a gender by using these typical male or female traits. sex is physiological, while gender is psychological.
