@chocopyro what is with americans disdain toward nuclear energy? is it lingering fear from chernobyl? whenever iv seen environmentalists speak on renewable energy its always solar panels and windmills, but those also encourage deforestation and displacing native wildlife id be tempted to vote for even a conservative politician if they ran on a campaign of revamping nuclear energy

@momoichi Why you asking me? I'm for nuclear energy. Way cleaner, gets more output, the problem lies in security. You have that whole 'what if someone sabatages it?' And admitably, that would be pretty terrible. We see Putin getting a lot of flack for firing a few rounds into one, but thankfully they haven't been damaged, meaning even the Russian Army knows of that level of danger. So odds are actually very low that it would actually happen. Hell, if you want alternatives to that, at least give Thorium a gander. Far more common, possibly safer, and can't be weaponized nearly as safely. It's more that I don't entirely trust Biden to be the one to do it.

@chocopyro cause your a nuclear guy i assumed youd know more than i would on the issue. i dont know too much about environmental shit in general (minus the fact that the green party is dumb) so the issue is more national security? i guess i can see that, russian and china hackers are pretty insane, but maybe the advent of a technology branch of the government could smooth that issue out more. wasnt there a hacker awhile back ago that poisoned the florida water supply? seems like a general issue of techiliteracy and a need for revamping our institutions and sectors
