That moment when someone tries to tell you that what they are saying isn't about playing the oppression olympics but then continues to reiterate that they believe that white people will never go through what POC go through in terms of racism so any racism towards them isn't on the same level and therefore isn't valid of being complained about and they don't care what any Karens or (insert white slur) say about it. Like bruh.....you don't even know what playing the oppression olympics is do you?

Bro i get shit on by other people of color who tf is THAT much of a victim they need to single out white as the problem? The funniest thing is people be like fuck the pigs, cops whatever. And say its a system meant to oppress blacks. But then forget there are black officers. Oppression my ass.

I start to take issue when people try to invalidate what others have gone through based off of what they or people they know have gone through. There is always going to be somebody who has gone through worse but that doesn't invalidate what people who have gone through less have gone through. It's not a competition. If somebody has suffered then they have suffered. If the point of the conversation is to compare the level of suffering then that's one thing but it's a completely different thing to say that someone suffering isn't important just because someone else suffered more.

@hell_hound7 So as you are saying that, I just got home from visiting my sister and my nephew. My nephew is 10 and is half black. While we were talking he brought up that kids at his school who were also black made fun of him for having a white mother. They told him, "If you're part white that's the same as being one of them." He wasn't allowed to play with his peers and asked me what he should do. I agree that there is real damage being done by communities working against one another. Young children don't know to hate by default. It's taught by their parents. It would solve more to focus on learning to correct these false ideologies not through blaming skin color or who's parents aren't "one of us" logic.

Sadly mixed kids get the worst of it it seems. There are many times where a child of mixed birth isn't accepted by either side.

I had two mixed friends when I went to career center, and I never really thought of them as such until they brought it up. With Darell, it was "Don't freak out, but my dad's white." And with Zack it was (After getting pulled over by the cops) "Don't worry, I could pass for a spic, they won't search me." They did search Jon though. He wasn't too thrilled about it.

@hell_hound7 Also, you might want to give the channel "Audit the Audit" a try. It analyzes interactions between both cops and civillians, and grades both for their performance and behavior and their knowledge of their rights. It's one of those things that changes based on where you're from. They never get political about it, which is what I love about them.
