Political rants

I'm stuck voting for a bunch of craziness in all parties for governor. Rep, Dem, Independent... Each one has radical views on how to fix what isn't broken while ignoring the actual issues. All of whom will end doing mostly nothing of importance in their term. But you better believe they all will spend it screaming how the other parties are to blame.

Yeah, it's always about who's to blame with these circus clowns. Never about actual policy. Least the dems can feign policy. Ever try to talk policy with a republican? You'll be talking about the lizard men in no time, and I'm sitting here as a former anarchist like "Dude, we originally drafted up with that theory, and it was aimed at you both, and I have no idea how lizards got in it."

The problem is alot of fucking Republicans are cowards. They are spineless. This is why the Democrats have so much power and ruin shit. Republicans complain and complain then vote dudes who basically jerk off in the bathroom at every senate vote and bill passing. These guys do nothing. The only stances they have is just stop Democrats from ruining the country. THEN CANT EVEN DO THAT. All this shit joe biden has done could have been avoided. Trump literally saw the shit fauci was pulling and basically would always call him an idiot and he didnt fire the guy. How does the president get up behind a podium and just say shit that "doesnt work" with their representatives for health basically flipflopping on agreeing but disagree. He didnt fire fauci, he didnt put voting laws in place DESPITE KNOWING THE MAIL IN BALLOTS WERE GONNA KILL HIM IN THE END, and instead waited for his loss and ssid it was voter fraud. Yeah why didnt you do shit beforehand?

I did my civic duty and DEADLOCKED my local government. I figured I'd make things interesting and put all parties against each other. Crazy pimp lady against wacky corporations are our friends against make the world free by jacking up everything's tax rate! Like I had 3 deadly snakes. A cottonmouth, a rattlesnake, and a black mamba which I decided to throw together into a sack to let them duke it out. If we're lucky they will take each other out. If we're unlucky then one will emerge stronger as well as harder to kill. And if we're super unlucky, the 3 will have a snake orgy and produce mini hybrid babies that will overwhelm the system before consuming it whole! But at least I tried to make a difference right?

So it looks like Republicans won the Virginia Governor race. I think if you're a Democrat it's time to start getting your life jacket on because here comes the red wave in 2022. I hope you're delusions about Trump was worth it because it's all coming home to roost now. Also never voted for Trump in the last election or the election before that but if he runs again I'm going to vote for him just because you Democrats have proven to be so stupid and toxic. And yes I'm saying stupid, You elected Joe Biden when you had other choices during the Democratic primary.

That was what i was saying. Who tf picked joe biden as a candidate. Probably obama circlejerkers who thought it was gonna be obama part 2. As if part one was any good. Joe biden has literally decimated the American name.

I can confirm Jake's declarations. Republicans have taken back Virginia. Though I voted for the Pimp Loving Princess, I can say I've not been a fan of random cities in Virginia taking away people's freedom arbitrarily. Petersburg's gun ban and imprisonment of lawful concealed carriers more the likely had a hand in my tricity area shifting heavy Republican. That includes many Black and Hispanic voters in the area who don't like Democrats pandering to them only to strip them of their rights for "their" protection.

Big tax rates don't really bother me if I'm getting something out of it. If everyone pays health care, including myself, then I don't need to pay for third party premiums. Problem with the corporate wing of the democratic party is they don't allocate money correctly. "Oh, you want healthcare AND a disposable income! Sorry, big pharma wouldn't like that very much, so we'll just redirect 2/3rds of health care coverage to administration instead. and make it even more expensive while hospitals get nothing out of it. But we'll say its single payer so that everyone could be happy! Also, it's not really, because we're taking money from the Insurance companies in back room deals, so here's the butchered carcass of what could have been single payer." <Literally medicare. They talk the talk, and if you actually look at their voting record, they're basically just neocon-lite. They wash away the racism (Just not systemically, they don't touch that shit.) But they're still puppets for corporations and powerful doners. @jacobl89 and @hell_hound7 Oh yeah, you actually want to know what happened in the primaries? See, here's what happened there. Bernie would have won. But Elizibeth Warren refused to drop out of the race when all the establishment democrats did to pull support for literally the weakest option (Joe Biden). Even Bloomberg, that oligarch that Rupert Murdock (Owner of fox news, huge trump-thumper when on camera) basically convinced to run against Trump, decided to drop out. Thus splitting the progressive vote. So you had this awkward period where it was Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, and Elizibeth Warren for a while, but because Warren is basically in Hillary Clinton's pocket, she refused to drop out until it was too late for Bernie. There's also the gerrymandering, which is the dividing of voting districts to empower certain communities/parties and diminish the voting power of poorer or more populated areas, which is what you have in Ohio. You see, Ohio is actually a very purple state. But because of these stupid lines, like my very own district 15 which strategically cuts out parts of southern Columbus, includes the hippy college town of Athens, and stretches into Clinton to divide more liberal populations, the republicans and establishment democrats consistently win by suppressing more progressive voting populations. Not through numbers. But through delegates. Meanwhile District 10 Montgumary, Greene, and Fayette, densely populated with old school, wealthier middle class conservatives exists. *Exists* Yup. Oldest form of voter suppression in the book. https://www.gannett-cdn.com/presto/2019/04/05/PCIN/5077e053-8f32-4eaf-b0bc-cf6e0451fe65-congressional_district_map.png?width=660&height=748&fit=crop&format=pjpg&auto=webp Here's the thing: The DMC is a coalition of various differing ideologies competing and begrudgingly compromising. This is why most independents (like me for example) come across as leftist. I'm Institutional libertarian. Social democrat, not a socialist. The Republican party isn't a coalition so as much a collection of slogans, brands, and archetypal identities designed to blindly resist things. Then you have the big business owners, and absurdly rich folk who want to stay in power, so they take a group of people with their backs against the wall (The rural folks, I.E. Appalachians like us), and they pretend they're like us. But rather than tell us what the actual issues are, they just point at the brownest person in the room and say "It's all their fault!" Just like the DNC, they think we're morons. You're damn right we're toxic. Salty at both ourselves, and them. But stupid..? Yeah, we have our idiots too. There's an army of straw men with paper faces on both sides, and our echo chamber medias tell us to hate them. Meanwhile nothing gets done. Oh yeah, the media. https://www.titlemax.com/discovery-center/lifestyle/who-owns-your-news-the-top-100-digital-news-outlets-and-their-ownership/ It is highly likely our opinions aren't owned by us. Be careful.
