@dyadka_yar It's sort of like a release, if you will. Now that being gay/bi/trans/whatever makes ya happy is normalized, everyone wants to capitalize on it. It's still "taboo" enough to raise an eyebrow(Garner attention.), but it also makes everyone feel included. The X-Men were/are a prime example of that. They represented all groups of people who felt marginalized and the fight to be accepted against adversity. However, it can certainly seem a bit overwhelming since it seems EVERYONE is trying to take advantage and constantly change things that really didn't need to have sexuality in them to begin with. I get the inclusion of racial and even sexual (as it pertains to male/female/whatever), but unless the storyline originally relied on relationships, I think it's overdone. Edit: I should've said more normalized, seeing as there's still a metric shit ton of things to still work through before even just being gay is truly accepted by society at larg. I'm all for acceptance, it's just that the "market" is leaning towards oversaturation and not in a light that leads towards true acceptance (To many tropes,stereotypes and to much aggression in approach at times. Although, I can't say I fault the aggressive part.).

By the way, I've explored my sexuality and found that I am not gay, so s'not like we're all flopping our dicks out and switching genders willy nilly. I was just more asexual than I initially thought, which was why I had a hard time owning my sexuality when I was younger. It's worth exploring even if you are straight. You learn things about yourself.
