I side with Aleph on that argument. I looked at your posted article about fireworks and it was from last year at the start of the Covid shutdowns. They were asking people not to go to large events that could spread the virus. It was not for anti-American propaganda as you have stated.
So the evidence provided is in regards for health and not preventing the private celebrations or alternative party arrangements.
Please provide a different article that shows anti-American practices.

I agree freedom of speech is the ability to believe anything you want and say want you want, but I do agree with panda on disrespecting the very symbol that gave you that right. There should be a fine for destroying the American Flag publicly and in private (if found by officials). People have died for that flag literally at times. Imagine someone taking a piss on the 9/11 memorial. Yeah sounds crazy but give it 200 years and some young brats who think they are more wise than George Washington or Abraham Lincoln themselves. Just because we have more technology in our age and different cultural practices (ie. Slavery was the norm in their day by different standards) does not mean we are smarter than the founding fathers themselves or anyone from the past really. Young punks tearing down history while failing their history classes should not go unpunished. The parents of this generation are too passive so now the next generation will be the opposite and discipline the youth.

I think you guys misunderstand what im talking about public celebration is banned. Ofc you cant ban it privately aside from fireworks. But the public fireworks display was banned. The event and gathering has been banned, however juneteenth has still been going strong

While this may not seem directly anti-american. Its an American celebrated holiday, this holiday celebration has been canceled due to "covid" but juneteenth literally the month prior hasnt been canceled.

Banning a single activity does not automatically mean you ban the entire celebration. Juneteenth is not the fourth of July. Stay on topic. Your engaging in whataboutism for juneteenth, which is a logical fallacy.
“There is a difference between free speech and disrespecting your country.” No, there isn’t a difference actually. Why is there a difference? You only gave a statement without a rationale supporting your statement. The first amendment grants you the right to disrespect anything without the fear of government reprisal. The US constitution does not say. “You have freedom speech except you can not disrespect the United States.” If that is written anywhere in the US constitution. Please enlighten me and show where in the US constitution states that you can’t disrespect whatever you want.
1st Amendment
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Notice on the words “congress shall make no law”. Congress, in other words the government shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech. The government cannot infringe your free speech. I or any private entity can do whatever they want. I’ve always been consistent on this. Let’s say for example that someone came to your house to protest on your front yard. Do you have the right to kick them off your property? Because if you do. Then you would be infringing on their free speech. As a private individual. You can infringe on anyone’s speech. Thus, you can kick people off your property for protesting. The government cannot infringe on your speech. Any private entity can do whatever they want. Which includes respecting or disrespecting whatever they want. That is how free speech works in the US constitution.
“because im not the government” Actually you work for the US military. Last time I checked. The US military is part of the government. You receive government checks, which makes you part of the government. Lol, come on now Pandus. You making this too easy.

The government cannot compel speech in the US. Which includes speech to respect the nation. I guess you like communist policies that compel speech onto people huh Snake?

Texas v. Johnson, 491 U.S. 397 (1989). Good thing that freedom of speech exist in the US. In the Texas vs. Johnson case. The US supreme court upheld the law of the land. Flag burning is indeed completely legal and protected by the 1st amendment. The US supreme court concluded that “[i]f there is a bedrock principle underlying the First Amendment, it is that the government may not prohibit the expression of an idea simply because society finds the idea itself offensive or disagreeable.”

But, but, muh feelings, that’s so disrespectful, that’s not very American, disrespecting the flag smh. On the contrary. Ever heard of the common saying, “exercising your second amendment makes you an American.” Under that same logic. Exercising any American amendment would also make you American. Exercising your right to practice religion would make you an American. Exercising your right to vote would also make you an American. Exercising the right of the people peaceably to assemble would also make you American. Exercising the right to free speech also makes you an American. Nothing more American than exercising your right to free speech. If you think that other Americans shouldn’t exercise their free speech because it hurts muh feelings, then that isn’t very American of you. More power to the ones exercising their freedom of speech.
What is and what is not deemed respectful and disrespectful is solely based on feelings. Come back to me when you have logical, or legal argument that isn’t based on your feelings
