Hopefully that's what this infrastructure bill will address. Last year Arc and I watched a series on Netflix about possible world-ending scenarios and a handful of them were about issues with the power grid and infrastructure. Could be because of solar flares, hacking from terrorist entities, a number of things really. I don't like the amount proposed, but it needs to happen. All it takes is one massive EMP to throw us back into the stone age. With the way microchips are hard to come by as of late, rebuilding wouldnt even begin. But i dont believe cyber warfare is the future even if our military is ONLY NOW starting to get into it with the invention of the space force. But yeah honestly bioweapons. Bioweapons are a big fuck you to any other kind of warfare i mean look at covid. It decimated an entire planet.

@hell_hound7 Knock out power? Easy, pitch a tent and survive off of dandelion leaves again. I brushed up on my survival skills during the pandemic, and now that its no longer winter, food is rather abundant in the region. Fruits are in season. Paya paya fruit may not taste great, but its got all the nutrients I need to continue my existence. Here's an idea. Let's get the government to stop using Cobal. Would take a while to switch all the systems over, but its an investment that we've needed for a long ass time.

Its easy for YOU to survive in the wilderness. But the average suburban house family cannot. Imma be good i got my rifle that people have oh so badly wanted to ban. Imma just take out some wild animal and eat it.

Dandelions are abundant in urban areas too. It's a miracle food that we treat like a weed. We tried so hard to kill it that adapted to grow and spread super fast. You can brown the roots and use as a coffee, use the stem to make tea, and the leaves could be eaten raw, and its going to be around for a long time. I'm sure I could get word around the city of Lancaster at least to help those in immediate need before a more permanent solution can be organized. Everyone assumes it's automatically going to resort to chaos, but after the panic sets in, people are more inclined to help one another than the zombie movies want us to think.

People are taking pictures of people loading up on gas and there was an incident yesterday where a woman tried cutting in line, when she didn't, got out of her car, bitched the driver out then spat at him through his open window. He then got out of his vehicle walked over to her and hocked a big one right in her hair. I mean.... there will be some assholes and chaos, for sure. Never underestimate a person's own personal will to survive/preservere in any environment.

Looters? They're always there when disasters hit. Selfish pricks? Always going to make things worse. But your odds of survival are going to increase astronomically if you make connections with local farmers and tradesmen rather than dive straight into the bunker mentality. And we see altruism also in natural disasters. They're a good thing to look at when forming a plan based on how people react.

That stuff is going to probably work in rural areas but not urban. The way people operate on the road is a pretty good indicator. Especially in urban settings. You have people that disregard order, disobey lights and signs, traffic speeds, and then you have assholes that just get pleasure out of cutting people off or driving hazardly. It's a quantifiable amount that is very telling.
