Damn i gotta find some 5.56 Nato, i gotta stock up.also gotta figure out how to store them cuz its humid around here
dyadka_yar
@hell_hound7 Humidity doesn't usually cause problems in modern ammunition. There are still landmines in Cambodia from the 70s that sadly still get people despite the mines being 50 years old in one of the most humid countries on Earth. Most ammunition has a good seal between the case and bullet so not something to worry about, unless it's a cheap Wal-Mart shotgun shell.

Better safe than sorry tbh, if ammo is in a shortage beggars cant be choosers. I havent even considered looking at ammo as of yet. Probably should.

Generally a stockpile of 2,000 rounds is suggested. Which in this climate will probably cost more than the rifle.
hell_hound7
The rifle costed 900 so if it does thats gonna be insane XD then again i have seen a box of 100 for $100 so probably
hell_hound7
Yep box of 200 for $200 https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/lake-city-by-winchester-m193-5.56-nato-ammunition-200-rounds-fmj-55-grains-wm193200/FC-020892224421.html
hell_hound7
So i can just get these if they are still in stock
hell_hound7
All i am missing is the mags, i coildnt find normal ones, just 60 round drums. Which idk why i would need the drums besides dumping. And then i need a cleaning kit.
dyadka_yar
Oh jeez. That's one of the reasons why I buy Eastern Bloc firearms. A spam can of 440 rounds of 7.62x54r cost me $125 and 640 round tin of 7.62x39 cost me $200. As far as drums go, I like them because reloading is annoying. They do have a tendency to lose spring tension over time and cause a bad feed, which takes seconds to clear for an AK type rifle.
hell_hound7
I need the regulars because i wanna practice my bolt forward load. Im still new to the firearm world. Sadly i dont get alot of practice despite being military.
