I hear so much talk from people who are mixed about how they are treated as outcasts by many people in the black community, generally speaking and not in any specific region of the world per se, why does it not surprise me that one of the few times I'm seeing someone say the opposite it seems like it's only because this works for the people who are now supposedly considering them as something other than an outcast. Sometimes I really shake my head at the human race.

About slavery, yes. We had a shitton of slaves. Lamby is correct. We were the last country in South America (or even the world) to abolish slavery because our Emperor was a weak ruler after the Paraguayan War and his son's death. Too weak to fight the slave-owning elites, so he relegated that job to his daughter. In the end, Pedro II was deposed in exile and Isabel never had the chance to put her reparation policies into practice. This produced a glaring economical gap between Blacks and Whites in the country.

@animekid Yeah. The Black Movement is dismissive towards Mixed people, and our only use to them is to be used as statistics when we die. And even better for them when the Police kills one of us out of fun or during an invasion amidst the crossfire.
