Political rants

Biden's latest proposals are interesting. Not good for the 2nd Amendment, but I'm a little surprised he wasn't more aggressive considering his previous talks. I think the only thing in his proposals that will be helpful in reducing violence is the community outreach projects he wants to invest in. Almost all "mass shootings" and shooting violence in general are gang related anyways, which an "assault weapons" regulation wouldn't affect much. At the least, community investment programs might help reduce the influence of gangs, thus reducing violence nationwide. I'm actually a little surprised marijuana hasn't been decriminalized at least with the democrats in power. Then again, Harris is the VP. It seems like decriminalizing the plant would be a massive political boost to anyone who would just get it over with. I guess they'll just dangle it in front of voters like a carrot or something. I think it makes sense that Biden would work on repairing some border barriers, he's pretty much from an era where border security was less of a partisan issue compared to today. o7

Only part of the infrastructure bill i really care about is the green act, but i know idiots like Mitch McConnel are gonna piss and moan and filibuster

Alot of these policies and bills have no fucking direction. Tax the hell out of the rich ok then what? You are somehow gonna scrape up 2 trillion dollars out of taxes before 2024? Come on now. Or these environmental policies and whatnot. Like these tree huggers are eating it up but that doesnt change that even if we did our part but other countries are hotboxing carbon the planet is still fucked.

Here's the issue. You tax the rich too much, what is to stop them from going to another country that is more accommodating? If I had a billion dollars and I had to choose between the country that is going to take $600 million of it or the country that is going to take $400 million of it, I'm going to take the country that is going to take less from me.

Thats what i keep saying and he is like well we can compromise. Yeah compromise how many businesses you wanna lose. No sane person would sit by and be taxed the hell out of just because they are wealthy. They worked hard for their money why would they just give it away? They arent benefitting from it? You wont buy their product someone else will
hell_hound7
Thats why i wonder if Democrats even use their brain. Maybe the tax cuts for corporations arent helping ok thats what you dudes say. Strong arming them isnt gonna work either. Incentivizing brings more jobs, more taxes just sents them to the cheapest bidder. These millionaires arent fucking money masochist and pay pigs.

Our pollution and carbon foot print is what indirectly caused covid, which is half the reason the green alternatives is being adopted faster. Im partially biased since im a huge tesla investor, but i mean, alternative energies are nice.. oil tycoons can kick rocks. As for the debt, most of the debt will be washed away by inflation in the future if people stop raising it more lol. I do understand where they're coming from that we kinda need a revamp since we havent had one since the 20s. The money will come in the form of higher corporate tax. I understand some people will say that will trickle down as more expensive crap. I think the economy is a lot more complex than that though. Also the rich already keep their money off shore.. this is a tactic thats been used for years.. you only bring your money home when tax rates are slashed, which usually happens under republicans. Thats why under trump. walmart and all those brought in fuckloads on their balance sheets lol.
hell_hound7
Well the only way i can see it where it doesnt trickle down is competition. Whoever sells the cheapest will probably be everyone's go to. But i still anticipate it will go up. Farmers arent gonna catch a break from these taxes either. So expect more on that in your produce section. Also if most of these people keep their money off shore....who are they taxing then? Doesnt make much sense does it?
