@animekid Yes, ignoring the problems don't make them go away. It's better to talk about them. I think the reason why politics is so extremely polarized right now is because of the rise of the internet and social media. Politics have always been divisive, but now everyone has a megaphone to shout their thoughts on politics to the world.
I think it's a hill we have to get over, to bridge those gaps, and try to overcome the problems. We can't do it separately. Our nation is essentially divided almost equally if you go by how the votes were in the last election. They have been that close for a while. I don't remember how Bill Clinton's numbers were but ever since I've been able to vote, Bush v Gore, they have been close calls.

I'm actually looking forward to the 2020/2021 update to these graphs. I know they are going to look horrible, but just curious.

I think this is more of a generational shift thing. As time goes on each party demands more of one thing and less of the other. The candidate also plays a part in that. Like if trump wasnt so talkative and gaining negative attention for the "woke" side of politics and being cancelled he could have won. Biden was tanking so hard in early 2020 with approval over trump but then when he started saying stuff like injecting bleach people were likebyeah this guy is stupid get him out. But i thinknits a generational thing. Most of the people siding with the woke side of politics have close to no real life experience. So they just go with whatever option helps their feelers without looking at the bigger picture.

And still yet, the system throws these old men at us for options. I'm tired of mostly fossils running the government. *whispers "term limits"*

Well you gotta be a certain age to be in politics right?

Just for President, age 35 but I can't remember if it's by you take office or by the time you register to run.

Well yeah by the time you hit 35 for presidency that doesnt mean you can run right away. You probably will have to wait for the current president or current campaign to end. By then ur possibly 39 and already nearing 40's. No to offend the 40 year olds but thats still kinda old. Not really a big jump from 40 to 50

Thats assuming you have an endorsement already. Because you most likely need to make a name for yourself if you want support.

Well you could actually plan for to have a go at president by the age of 35, but I think those waters are too muddy for that to happen. I.E. AOC wanting Pelosi out but still voting her to remain in her current power seat with the agreement that Pelosi walks away in a couple years. I think the people who have been in politics for a while, who have their hands in deep control way too much for that to happen. I think we all really need to work at actively passing anti-corruption laws via the populace and not by our elected leaders.
