@nebelstern Haha, yeah, that last post was more meant to be a self deprecating jab at myself. I'm a writer, there's layers to my humor. Anarchists used to go apeshit whenever they heard the word "Conform". I'm not actually triggered by it anymore. People are more alike than they are similar, and there's nothing wrong with that. There is one thing I was trying to convey however. There's an important distinction you should know about most activists here in the states. We're angry because we likely suffered an injustice and don't want it to happen to anyone else. It's not the same as being compelled by altruism of some shiny de jure reality. Most SJWs? The real ones? They've witnessed or experienced their share of violence and sexual abuse either toward themselves or maybe their friends. That's why they haven't shut up yet. Because it's personal. So they don't really care about the consequences they have on longterm society. Me? Fuck, my brother might still be alive if we had healthcare reform. Or at least we could have made his passing a lot more peaceful. Instead it was filled with anxiety and stress toward the system. The George Floyed protests? I remember taking my friend John to the sweetcorn festival and realizing that the micro aggressions between black people and cops are real. Likewise, I lived in a predominantly black community, and I've seen my share of how the drug war damages minority communities. Lots of issues I care about are only because I have had the wake up calls necessary to care. When good men do nothing, that is an evil. And inaction has costed me and a lot of those close to me to loose a lot of people and things that we hold dear. Not asking you to pity me, just understand we aren't chasing novilty or romanticisms here.

Yeah the Australian news is also ontop of their shit i trust them more than i do fox....and the Australian's government seems even worse than ours

The thing people on the left dont understand is alot of media is secondhand source. They hear one story from this outlet then like a domino effect they all report on it. Fox started with the border crisis now all of them are like border crisis border crisis. Like its why i watch multiple cuz you cant just trust one.
