I firmly believe someday I'll gain the freedom I've craved, realize minimalized version of Confucian ideals and become a real hermit living in this world in a poetic way.

@tsunpaper it took a lot of courage to write that. Same with everyone here.

Uhm. I don't consider my childhood to be abusive. I just really lacked some family support and their blatant indifference to whatever I want to say, think or like.

dating site huh? last generation of parents were litterally the worst so why cling to the past like a conversation piece when you can always grow ._. I was shot(and mom didnt make it.) but I let go so i can grow.

iv been fortunate enough to never be physically abused (worst iv gone through is name calling, screaming, having my things broken, and chased), and with the mental stuff i think leaving it was the best for my mental health. i still flinch when i hear doors slam or people yell, but its getting less and less thankfully.
i think its important to remember you don't have to forgive your abuser, and understanding why they did it and that it wasn't your fault is enough for some semblance of peace of mind.
having trauma is never an excuse for giving someone trauma. and it was never your fault. even though hurt people hurt people, you have no responsibility to your abuser.

My father done many things that were inexcusable towards me, my mother, and siblings for many years. Instead of a genuine apology, he acts like he is the victim and the way his wife treats him is why he acts the way he does.
I don’t care how many rides to work he gives me, but I’d rather never forgive him until the day he dies.
