Advice: My Sis & I Debating My Hair

So today I am in a discussion between my mom and sister about 15 minutes ago (as of writing this topic) and my sister brought up again about how I comb my hair. She criticized how the way I present my "do" doesn't look good for my face shape and I look like a 15 year old (?). Now, I have curly hair that I like to brush in the way I usually do in the post below and I like that. However, She keeps insisting I would look better with my hair pushed back like the image below it because it would make look better. Problem is, I never liked that on me and whenever she did my hair, I never liked how it turned out. I also just seem to never like my hair pushed above my forehead and can't explain why? Any advice on this from anyone who had similar experiences? Any thought from people who style their hair often?

Both look good in my opinion. I actually like your hair. I think your sister is just giving you a hard time. Justified or not. Style your hair however you want. At the end of the day it's your hair, not her's. Nobody can tell you what to do with your body or hair. If you want a mullet, get a mullet. If you want a pompadour, get a pompadour. If you want a fro, get a fro. If you want dreads, get dreads. If you want a fringe, get a fringe. The world's your oyster. When I was growing my hair out I got backlash from my mom because it wasn't "professional looking" in her words. But I style it and take care of it, and that's all anyone can ask of anyone. I sympathize with your situation. I'll occasionally look up new ways to style my hair on google or youtube just to try something new for fun. Styling hair can be enjoyable. Also "the natural look" is an actual real style, so you can practically debunk anyone that harps on you for "not styling" your hair. Awesome right? At the end of the day, you do you my dude.

Are you still a little kid? I haven't taken fashion advise from my mom since I was in my early teens. Otherwise, I'll be wearing my shirt tucked in. I ain't rockin that old man look. I'll do it when I'm a senile old fool. But not yet. Look however you want to look.
