I don't know what to do with my life

Got a new job, instantly hate it. Low pay and 7 day work week. You can take a dayoff but you're expected to do revisions on day offs, which totally misses the point. We agreed on 5 orders per day , but they put 7 and I heard they even putting 10 and I have to do multiple revisions without pay. I'm sick of this cycle. Should I get a different education? I'm sick of art and all it's problems, it takes too long to get a minimum wage salary and I just feel like quitting. I'm sick of anal clients. And im not happy. I just realized I'm too sensitive and my attention is very short to be a professional artist, it just doens't mesh well

That type of art sucks the soul out of art. But gotta pay the bills, right? Also, is this some form of contract work? Average jobs don't call for 7 day work weeks.

art is a pretty messy career to get into it, but are you passionate about the products you produce at least? do you get any satisfaction out of it? if not then maybe, maybe look into something else, but there's no guarantee that something else will be any different why did you get into art in the beginning? for self expression?

I thought I could make money because I was good with it, but being good in grade school is very different from being good professionaly. Also doing digital art for clients has 0% self expression. I lost my passion years ago, and I'm only pursuing it because I have no clue what else to do. Honesrtly I suck, even at entry level art like cartoons and textbook illustrations I can't do properly. Tried a different career with call center, it was shitty too

I hate art for work too. At least now when a friend or family member asks and I really don't think ill get joy out of doing the work, I can claim gimp hands from my dual carpel tunnel surgeries. XD Explore your options but be practical if you want to move on. Find another job first, get trained in something else, etc etc.

i second what jay said art loses its soul when it becomes commodified to such an extent

New jobs tend to suck, most people just stick them out in hopes of getting promoted into something better latter on. If it seems like that might never happen, or if you're really that miserable, then yeah a different line of work might be in order.

Oh they just kicked me out , because my work is not standard they say. This is why online jobs are hard, they kick you anytime they want.

You should quit civilization. Run butt naked out into the woods. Plant your on garden. Hunt your on meat. Build your own hut. No more money problems, ya hear?
