PS5 pre-orders

Then I asked the foolish question of what does my membership even do anymore if I can't get discounts on used. The response. Earn points to renew the $15 membership for next year. Like bro are you serious. He was like, "As serious as a guy who's only worked as the store manager for a day!" And I'm like, "Yep, good ol' GameStop. Never stop setting the bar lower, haha!"

I havent bought anything from gamestop since like 2017. They used to have some pretty good deals in the past. I remember they had a deal that was like returning games within 3 days for a game thats equal or lower value. I used to beat a game in 3 days and return it. Fun times, fun times. This was when i was a little kid tho so probably early 2000's

Ah... Early 2000's. When I could buy a $30 game from Japan and sell it to GameStop for $70 since they thought it was the American version which sold for $150.

Gamestop started being cruddy around 06. It wasn't too bad at that point, but I could smell some bs coming up when they were promoting preorders for things I did not want at all. I think the last game I ever bought from them was Dante's Inferno. At that point it was out of control. It was nearly a 10 minute process of questions and total nonsense before I could buy the game. I heard it got worse over the years, like Gamestop trying to buy people's phones and punishing employees for not getting enough phones.

All I care about is that everyone gets a PS5. The sooner that happens, the sooner Playstation's killer first party developers can make PS5 games instead of PS4 games with the boxes checked for "Ultra" settings. Ratchet and Clank, Returnal, and Horizon 2 are showcases of what they can do when not being held back by the PS4. Yeah, Horizon 2 is also a PS4 game, but Guerilla developed it from "the ground up" as a PS5 game, then they gutted the PS4 version.

Well now that playstation has gotten their shit together and places are now doing verification for consoles instead of the shit show that was buying all of the stock for resale. I wasnt gonna pay twice as much for a ps5 when my ps4 has been working just fine. But paying 400 for a ps5 digital with god of war ragnarok is a steal of a deal. I dont have to buy the copy for ps4 :^) and plus i get a ps5 out of it.

My dream for future PS5 games is developers that implement Ray Tracing to do so by dropping the framerate to 1080-1440p so the game can hit around 50fps, rather than always doing 1440-2160p and having 24-30 fps. It completely changes the atmosphere of the game since games cannot factor where light and shadows come from in real time without it (it's not just reflections), so areas and rooms are just globally illuminated. The Witcher 3 is a great example, but I can't play it with RT cuz the 24fps makes me nauseous. These are direct screenshots from my game...
