Small steps made in 2008 so there should be roughly 12 years of ongoing documentation, findings, etc etc.

I just read those two drugs, but I am certain that there are other drugs similar to those two. It's very likely the necessary drugs for transitioning is already available because they are currently used for their primary reason for existing- cancer treatment. The easiest way to explain this is what medical people call "off-label use". An excellent example of this is Viagra. Viagra was always meant to be a medication for hypertension and pulmonary hypertension. Its just that, during its clinical trial, they also found that dudes who was in the clinical study sported wood at the same time. Hilariously, when a guy tells you he is taking it for his blood pressure, he is probably not lying. I have not done serious studying for a long time, but I believe pulmonary hypertension is more common with women than and in men. It is pretty deadly too. Viagra is a lifesaver. The off label use designation disappears once regulatory agencies approves it for a secondary use besides it's initial use for being in the market. I bet Pfizer is just happy to make more money though.

The problem with research is that they have to run a gauntlet of scientific groups or scientific governing bodies to determine if their research is worth their weight. That also takes years. Even if they get peer reviewed and is approved for reading, they can always lose that if they find a fault in the way the data was collected or interpreted. Conflict of interest is the only easy thing to verify in a study. Everything else takes a lot of time to identify.

@verucassault I am trying to do Cochrane search regarding that article you posted. I will try, but I'd like to keep my job by not using my work research database xD But the gist of this study is this- There is a flaw with the research regarding puberty blockers.

I forgot to mention. Cochrane search is like a google search for research. If there are multiple research done for the same topic, it will compile it and do it's algorithm and group the research studies that has similar conclusions, bundle that ones that showed opposite results, and show the other research studies that have totally different outcomes.

If you live in Wyoming or are currently enrolled in a university, it is free. Otherwise, you need to be in a poor country or in Europe to access it
