2020 US Presidential Election

If you follow the stock market I do, I found something interesting going on. VLO, a gas refinery energy stock has been plummetting ever since Biden's vice presidential pick. Meanwhile, clean energy stocks such as RUN have been going drastically up. For some reason Wallstreet has a huge, gigantic boner for clean energy. If Biden were elected, clean energy companies would surely be affected positively, while oil refinery stocks like VLO would be hurt even more. Trump is huge with oil barrons, coal, and "dirty" energy. Take a look at what they are buying and what they are selling to get an idea of who the people with true power in the US are putting their money behind. Take for example in 2016. All polls showed Hillary in the lead. She would be good for clean energy stocks, but take a look at one of the leading solar stocks that year. Of course, there is still time for the markets to change, but you have to watch these stocks if you really want to know what is going on. So far, it's not looking good for Trump, unfortunately. Trump will have to have some smashing victories in the debates to turn things around.
