Dude, people treat dating and romance nowadays like a chasing game. Why can't they just be fucking mature, honest and open about what they want ? In my opinion, girls who try to play hard to get are a big turn off. Life is too short for me to spend it trying to figure out the signs a girl is sending. I never thought of someone who reached to me first because they like me as desperate. As long as they're not being creepy, weird or clingy.. It's actually cool; makes me wanna get to know them more and give them a chance.

Honestly I always appreciated someone being in them middle. Plus if they are real with you, then you will always feel comfortable around them

Some girls are actually hard to chase, they don't play hard to get. Their lack of interest, meanwhile trying to stay friendly n polite isn't playing hard to get（some delusional guys who are unwilling to accept this fact tend to interpret it as "playing hard to get"）

A lot of people get upset with girls/women because they are "hard to get". Sometimes the girl is just plain not interested. No amount of attention you give or time you spend will change that. You aren't entitled to the girl just because you devote yourself to them. They have to be interested in the first place. I agree with @hakutaku

Yep. Alot of people that had or have an account on this site that feel entitled to a woman. Its about connections you both feel. It there is nothing there then you cannot force it to manifest. That turns into emotional abuse or being an incel.
