Traditional Lithuanian cuisine consists mostly out of potato dishes
Regarded as the national dish of Lithuania are Cepelinai (Zeppelins in english)
They are large potato dumplings made from mashed potato dough and filled with pork. Usually ate with sourcream or bacon sauce.

We also have a national soup called Šaltibarščiai (Cold beetroot soup) Fun fact: This soup was once mentioned in Food Wards

Kibinai are tasty little handpies with a soft crust and usually meat or vegetables in the middle. If we're being historically correct, these handpies were not invented by lithuanians, but by a Turkish ethnic group that lived in Lithuania for centuries where a city called Trakai is located today.

Mushroom cookies are one of my favourite Lithuanian deserts. It is made from regular cookie dough and the outer layer is glazed in white and black chocolate. Sometimes cinnamon and other spices can be mixed into the dough

Šakotis is a traditional Lithuanian cake that is usually served on special occasions like Christmas, Easter and weddings. The cake is a large ring with spikes around the edges that are made from dripping the cake batter on a spinning cooker
