If you could change one thing about MaiOtaku, what would you change?

i wouldn't want a "proper verification system" even phone numbers you can sell to third parties. most eu countries have dumb ass verification shit where u have to send in a copy of ur ID just to get a dumbass phone number. (kinda wanna go back to uk) in other words a phone number is often enough to get your whole data, who u are where u live. and there's services and companies that buy such data. mainly for advertisement purposes or statistics or fk knows what they do with it. -> out of topic (and they do all this in the name of "anti-terrorism" like u'know what shit like this is what triggers me to make an IED. cuz no matter what dumbass measures they take. if someone wants to blow someone up they will find a way :v. sry enough ranting about stupid laws and data collection shit) the simplest way of dealing with this is just a simple check of "are you over 18?" that at least is enough to keep you out of legal trouble. now whether the visitors answer truthfully or not is not sephis problem.

@crepe i'm against mods getting proper power. cuz then stuff like that with baka will be happening all the time. to this day i still don't know what he did wrong. further more he gets banned with every account he makes. mods shouldn't be allowed to ban people out. accounts. that's all. if someone comes back and behaves why should they get banned? it's just grudges and badly chosen mods. a mod should only look at accounts. not the people behind them. it would be funny if amazon would ban u cuz u insulted some seller on another account (random example)

I think lifetime suspensions are dramatic. Back in the day when I was a mod for chat rooms <ugh.. showing my age, we had guidelines for hour bans, day bans, weekly bans, monthly, etc. etc. Lifetime was a truly rare thing and for this site it seems all or nothing. I have been banned once for a day, just for shits and giggles. Sephiroth does have a sense of humor. But I've never seen anyone have a temporary ban here. That bothers me. I think it would temper the actions of some of the users. Not the most tenacious trolls, but still...

The ability to vote the karma of individuals. The ability for mods to give badges to users, specially creeps who are found (with evidence) consistently that they are doing their shit Imagine it, going to their profiles and you see a huge badge that says "certified creep" Imho that's worse than a ban
