It's really interesting to see that when shit hits the fan. Many conservatives instantly adopt liberal ideals. What am I referring too by conservatives adopting liberal values? Trump and many conservatives demand that stimulus check increase from $600 to $2000. Many people lost their jobs because of Covid-19. Therefore, government aid is dully needed. Here in comes the contradiction. "Lifts yourself up by your bootstraps." That is a conservative principle. If you are a conservative. Then why are you demanding money from the government? "Lift yourself up from your bootstraps." "Take personal responsibility." If you were laid off from your job. Find another job. If that new job doesn't pay enough. Get a second or third job. Start a business. Oh, but the lockdowns you say. Start an online business then. Many online businesses flourished in the Covid-19 economy. Conservatives should stop demanding government help and take "personal responsibility." Without government aid. A conservative lift themselves up from their bootstraps. A conservative should not want free money from the government. Yet many conservatives want free money at their convenience. Free money is a liberal ideal. It is contradictory to demand free money, while also advocating for conservative principles like "personal responsibility" and "lifting yourself up from your bootstraps."
Some conservatives may say. "But, but, but I lost my job. It's not my fault I lost my job." That is the victim mentality. Don't conservatives constantly harp liberals about the victim complex? Conservatives always harp about minorities always playing the victim card. It is not the fault of a black child if they grew up fatherless, poor, and in the ghetto. Yet, what is the conservative argument against government aid in disenfranchised communities? Even though it is not someone’s fault if they grew up poor. "People should take personal responsibility and stop demanding free money from the government." Now apply that same conservative principle in this pandemic. It is true that it is not someone’s fault if they lost their job in this pandemic. But "people should take personal responsibility and stop demanding free money from the government." It's not my fault. I need money. Is the same argument made by liberals demanding free money from the government. The victim complex is yet another liberal ideal adopted by conservatives in this pandemic.
You want money from the government because you think you deserve it. What are you? A liberal? A socialist? Stick to your conservative principles. A small government that spends less, not more. Even totally liberal not conservative Tim Pool has made the right-wing talking point about the uncontrolled debt.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lq-jBMgkkhA&ab_channel=TimcastIRL
If you’re a conservative that advocates for small government. A government that should practice fiscal responsibility. A government that does not overspend. The constant printing of money devalues the US dollar. From a macroeconomic perspective. It is a completely valid point to argue against the constant devaluation of the US dollar. But instead, many conservatives demand pandemic relief money. Demand the continued printing of money. Demand free money while also advocating for personal responsibility. Big brain cognitive dissonance.
Note on what I said. I am not arguing for, nor against the check. That is a different matter. I simply stated that illogical cognitive dissonance on conservative principles.

Here's an example of an illogical hypocrite. Politician of course. We have Georgia Senator David Perdue talking about the uncontrolled debt.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4aKkF-qFNk&ab_channel=PerduePress
Gee, Perdue really sounds like a deficit hawk. A principled conservative to control runaway government spending. Oh, but wait a minute? And I quote, “we have put together a robust legislative package that will benefit every Georgian and deliver $2,000 to those in need,” Senator Perdue and Loeffler said. If the bill is put up to a vote. Perdue will vote for the $2000 dollar check. But what about the runaway spending and the uncontrolled debt? Yeah, deficit hawk my ass. Perdue will only vote for the $2000 stimulus bill because it is politically advantages for Perdue to do so. Daddy Trump is in favor of the $2000 check. Conservative principles to control the runaway spending. When shit hits the fan. Many conservatives instantly adopt liberal ideals. Nah, who needs conservative principles when politicians can flip flop on demand.

Here’s another point. Why is the American government paying for the previous $1200 and the new $600 check? According to Trump. Covid-19 is China’s fault. Trump has routinely called Covid-19 the “China virus.” If it’s the “China virus” and Trump says its China’s fault for Covid-19. Then shouldn’t China be paying for damages, hence pay for the stimulus check. Maybe I missed it. But why hasn’t Trump stated that China is paying for the stimulus checks? I mean wasn’t Mexico going to pay for the wall? Because as trump stated:
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
All this bad people coming in. Mexico should pay for the wall. Lol, right? Spoiler alert, Mexico still hasn’t paid for the wall. The Trump presidency ends in less then 20 days. If the wall isn’t built by the end of Trump’s presidency. Then Trump's biggest campaign promise was a pack of lies. Bring that same energy and logic towards China. If Mexico is going to pay for the wall. Then China should pay for the stimulus checks. I'll burst the bubble. The president of the United States cannot force another sovereign nation to pay off for domestic American policies. The president is not emperor of the world that can force other nations to do America’s bidding (lest you go to war). Smooth brain lunacy.

Here are a few more good news stories that are making the rounds...
1. A guy in Philadelphia has been raising money for charity by making pizzas in his kitchen, and then using a pulley system to drop them to people from his second-story window. Instead of charging, he asks them to donate to charity. And he's raised over $30,000 during the pandemic.
2. A cancer doctor in Arkansas recently closed his practice to start teaching. And on his way out, he forgave $650,000 worth of his patients' medical debt. He sent letters to 200 people for Christmas to let them know they didn't have to worry about it anymore.
3. Right before Christmas, we heard about a waitress in Maryland who got a tip for $2,020. Turns out someone also left a "2020" tip for a waitress in Massachusetts.
4. A drive-thru worker in Canada mentioned to a customer that he used to go to college but had to drop out because he couldn't afford it. So a bunch of customers started a GoFundMe page that's raised over $20,000 to send him back to school.
5. Someone in New Mexico took two antique chairs from a couple's driveway . . . then brought them back a week later after restoring them and adding new upholstery.
