Cero, I did that with Bowing stock. Bought at 130 a share last year after piddle paddling around when the plane malfunction news came out. Really thought it would be over 214 by now but that's something, I guess. Here's a funny one. I bought 10 yolo shares of VERU stock at 4 bucks because it reminded me of my sweet @verucassault That stock jumped to friggin 24 dollars a share, and I was like fk me, I should have researched that company to see it was actually a good investment. So far, in my trading style I've switched to high growth up and comers. I picked up NIO last year when it was 4 bucks a pop after their mind-blowing ER report. I also got into FCEL, CLNE, stuff like that. High growth. Partially why I got really shafted on this latest dip. I could definitely work on timing my profit taking better. I feel like I didn't take enough out of the market this time around.

I like my high growth stocks as well.. and "disruptive innovation" as cathie wood calls it. I had nio for a bit but i very much dont like holding chinese stocks for a long time.. Also the CCL i bought back when covid first hit the market has come back to life.. even in the current state of the market im still up 83% on them. Up 98% on SPCE too.

SPCE was one I wish I had bought. My biggest covid hit stock was CNK movie theatre. Got over a 100% up on that one. Cathie was doing really good in the bull market but she's getting killed in some of her positions. I bought U after she did and got my ass kicked on the drop. You know what really sucks, though? Having to file your taxes when you have to report stock market crap. I actually ended up actually owing the IRS this year. It suuuucks filing tax forms on investments

Oof. Im generally a long term hodler so im fine. But this year i was swing trading GME a little when that was all the rage, and i did a big readjustment to my porfolio to suit current times.. so ill see something for sure.. crypto taxes really worry me tho.

Crypto taxes are actually pretty low right now compared to income tax. I bet the IRS is going to up the tax amount within the next couple of years

Can you buy crypto, pretend it doesnt exists and not report it om your taxes? https://i.pinimg.com/736x/c9/7f/63/c97f63b12f2375e75ce27553e2b9a1f8.jpg

If you buy a lot of crypto, the IRS doesn't care. Only when you pull it out and reap the profit do they come out for their piece of the cake. I think it's better to be safe than sorry, especially if you bank more than $500. I didn't report my stock market trades for a year because I thought you only had to report if it transfered to your bank account. They stuck me like a pig over that debacle lol
