Hate it's also a form of obsessive behavior. Hate isn't the opposite of love, rather it's a toxic missguided form of it. Indifference, now, it's the opposite of love. When someone hates the guts of a person in a truthful manner (actual hate, not the poser angsty teenager bullshit that runs rampant here) that person becomes obsessed with it, searching for manners to get even, ways to destroy them, thinking almost every day at every hour on how to rupture their happiness. Most people don't experience truthful hatred towards anyone, just deep dislikes. Hatred it's just a twisted toxic obsession~ Indifference, when you truthfully don't care about someone's existence it's the ultimate opposite of an obsession

I've gone to the extremes of hatred. It has to burn for a while before I realize how much energy it's taking to put forth that much thought on anything or anyone. Once I realize it's not worth the energy, the next step is to banish the thoughts from my head, kinda like a self exorcism. haha. Added* it can turn out to be a good thing. Since the last time I truely hated someone, I know what the signs are that someone is going to annoy the shit out of me or get under my skin so I avoid it. I've gotten pretty laid back about things in older age.
