technically no, not really. you can do much worse than that. but if you decide to keep them, and not throw them into a garbage can or grind them and flush them down the toilet, or abandon them in a forest. Then having favorites and treating one better than the others will significantly affect their mental growth.

As a kid who grew on a family that had very distinctive favoritism established I can agree with Pirate... at least half of the biggest obstacles I've had on my life were directly caused by the way my parents raised me. Do note one thing before you bash me, most people don't start to develop their individuality until they are on their 16-18s before that unless you go through veeeeery difficult circumstances you're almost like an object programmed by your parents to act and react in a certain way, I can voucher only for me, so, to me, it fucked me up big time.

For the record I only read the last page of here that is #176 so I've got no clue what you two were talking about, I just wanted to put my own input on favoritism. And, yeah, I'm fine, growing up and facing your challenges it's part of becoming an adult, that is, if you want to become an excellent one. since there's always the cowards way out
