@Panda-kun Wouldn't making it a private group on this site have worked better? Some people probably don't like using Discord or don't even have it installed. Similar case with Reddit/not having an account, disliking the site, etc. The screening process could also be done through DMs/chat messages since it's not too complicated. Not sure how moderation for groups in this site works though.

I see no harm in trying it out. If it works out for you then it works. I myself am in no rush to date anyone because I'm more interested in building friendships first and surrounding myself around other interesting creative, intelligent individuals with diverse cultures, same interests. etc I mean I understand desperation and loneliness. Everyone is lonely and looking for someone, but it's not something that you can rush. I really think that happiness comes from finding yourself and who you are and what it is you strive to be. Constantly growing by learning new things, pursuing a creative outlet, or finding a hobby you've always wanted to do. To become interesting individuals you have to want to improve yourself. Even if you find someone that's interested in you or vice verse you have to make it work. Since it's online dating chances are it'll probably be a long distance relationship unless you're lucky. I personally think they definitely work, but you need to take it upon yourself to make it work. Think about whether or not you're committed to make that a possibility or else it'll fail. Also, trust needs to be involved with both individuals and good communication.
