I have depression and it's understandable for reasons. But I truly 100% agree to this.

The reason why I agree with this so much is because the fact that it's going on more now than ever. I have dated individuals that have then on their worst state and I was one of those individuals that made things worse without even noticing that I was making things worse. it gets worse when the person becomes literally a stalker or go completely crazy because of the loneliness. It's scary.

I have found that a reason which people target those with mental illness to date is because they believe that their love and attention will help. In reality dating someone with a mental illness poses particular problems and issues that can only be solved through means such as professional help. As well, dating those with mental illness can compound issues and will usually end up poorly for both parties to a possibly dangerous result in the one with an illness.
