Also worth mentioning that numbers in the US could be MUCH worse or better than than the actual reports imply. We have just barely tested 1% of the population. And They are struggling so much to keep up with testing in many states, that they are no longer testing those that die at home, even if they display symptoms, so they will not be officially counted. We literally do not know how good or bad we are doing with this.

I can tell you one thing, older sister is in military as a nurse in the US. The current mentality is that Coronavirus is going to reach virtually every single community in the US, there is nothing that can or could be done about this. The social distancing, lockdowns and quarantines are simply to slow the infection so as not to overload the hospitals. Apparently this has been the idea since February.
