Coronavirus. Your thoughts? [Serious and Non-Serious]

Went to Shanghai late January when all panic was rising. One thing for is for sure they had way better methods of handling it in public places. Every time we entered a building they would check our temperatures and everyone was wearing masks, I didn't even seem bothered that I was in ground zero i enjoyed my time, even so I came back a day before they started canceling flights so thankfully I did not get stuck there. HR stalked my facebook and made me work from home 2 weeks, no biggy extra vacation for me, everyone was terrified of me but I never showed symptoms but now we are all in the same boat, wondering when all this shit will end

i dont know what to feel about these protests on one hand i want to say your all stupid fucking smooth brains for thinking the economy is shutting down just to fuck with you but on the other hand i cant really get mad at someone whos pissed that they may fucking go homeless because theyr not getting any income BUT then i think back to the actual footage of the protest and it is clearly heavily on one political side of the spectrum, so is that what this really is about? just conservitards ass mad about a disease they arent taking seriously? (which statistically they do not see this as seriously as lefties) but maybe thats untrue and there ARE lefties in that protest and they arent waving flags i just dont know so i dont know how to feel about this one hand theres sympathy and empathy about the possibility of not being able to afford rent and food but the other wonders if this is all political

Rioting in the street and protesting only spreads the virus and prolongs stay at home orders. So i'd say its dumb either way. Nothing like shooting yourself in the foot

yeah its wrong to start up the economy right now because itll only crash even harder later if we do but its just hard to get mad at people who are rightfully worried about possibly going homeless
