Coronavirus. Your thoughts? [Serious and Non-Serious]

One of the worst outcomes of the pandemic is people getting hysterical and rude af so I'm enjoying how fun and chill this thread is.

@cupcakerin I made sure to add the “and Non-Serious” part in the title because 1. Memes and satire were going to be here anyway and 2. To promote memes and satire because something as serious as this needs a tension breaker.

Ya it's a big change from irl where people believe all kinds of things (which is aight) but then they act bigoted and shun you for not believing the same thing they do and it's weird. Especially when you're just working and you can't flee. Nothing new but tv news (pun not intended) is just bad things happening all the time, so tension breaker is always welcome.

Repeating what everyone has already said about this pandemic making people hysterical. It has even broken my family just a bit. People not getting invited to get-togethers and whatnot. I mean I get it... to an extent... but the rudeness and venom is uncalled for when talking with people you disagree with, even with family. It's sad, and I don't feel like trying to talk it out will do any good. I don't expect everyone to get along. but just some basic empathy and not treating the other side like enemies would be nice. On a more positive note, being cooped up during the pandemic has made me try things I haven't before such as trying to learn a language and even drawing. I haven't been keeping up on practicing those, but boredom has driven me to at least try new stuff.

I remember a year ago some dipshit once told me Governors who enacted shitty COVID policies like Cuomo were still Trump's fault because he "abandoned the states to deal with a global pandemic", a claim none of these shitty governors made to explain their ineptitude. In fact, the states told Trump to back off (which they were right to do). Here we are now, and it looks like the Biden Administration* is "abandoning the states to deal with a global pandemic". I wonder what that dipshit has to say now. The truth is, the federal government is not equipped to deal with shit like COVID no matter who sits in the oval office, and states really ought to be the ones to look after themselves.
