I mean given the shots give a like 95% effective immunity, the third shot only replenishes those anti bodies for the day one vaxxers.. nothing more nothing less.

I figure it'll be just like the flu shot, you'll get a new one each year for the variants. Unfortunately, I don't think there's gonna some magic cure all, but a preventative. Maybe this whole mask thing will get people more aware about protecting others from their illness, but that's just wishful thinking. Gotta take baby steps.

I respected Covid enough to get vaccinated at the earliest opportunity. I think it's interesting nobody thought about or cared about immunity compromised individuals until Covid came along but this group of people are always at risk of death from the most benign things imaginable - those vaccinated are at extremely low risk of death from Covid and the mask mandates are a desperate hail mary to impede the dispersal of water droplets. I personally dislike the mask mandates but am sympathetic to people that are unable to get the vaccine despite there being no actual virus in the shot itself; people that willingly turn down the opportunity to take the shot, not so much but it's an individual's choice at the end of the day and that's how it should be.

@chattchristian immunocompromised CAN get the covid vaccine. Additionally there has always been a lot of talk about immunocompromised with regards to vaccines prior to covid (especially with regards to the flu). There's a lot more talk about vaccines in general now. There is actually less reason to push people to vaccinate for their sake now that we have a mRNA vaccine platform.

For the first time in my life I've witnessed an active "protest" in Indiana outside of Indy. It was a meager 20 people with signs along a main road. Was wondering why horns have been honking this afternoon as they passed. Apparently someone informed the cops. They came to chat for a bit and then left. Wild. My productivity this afternoon plummeted.
