Coronavirus. Your thoughts? [Serious and Non-Serious]

@wolfneko I admit I my original post was heavy handed, so I apologize as well. So I feel where you're coming from. My frustration stems from avoidable deaths and life long symptoms people are getting from COVID. So I want you to know I most definitely respect your decision and know you're life is your own. You're right. We don't know everything and we most likely never will. There's research and reports that talk about transmissibility to those who have gotten the vaccine and the resurgence of the illness in vaccinated people. So I hear you, people are getting sick who have had the vaccine. But there's also information that suggests the bulk of the illness is being transmitted to those who haven't gotten the vaccine. The purpose of a vaccine is to stimulate a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease, the person's body adapts. Is what we currently have prefect? Not at all. The goal is prevent the disease from spreading to people who are the most vulnerable. We owe it to each other to do the best we can, for our communities, the people we live with. That requires either heavy social distancing, masking up, or a vaccine.

"I've never liked taking medication of any kind cause I believe my body has what it needs to fend off sickness." I take this stance myself on many things. I would rather tough something out or let it resolve naturally if I feel that's an option. We don't know everything about almost everything in this world. "the only thing i know for sure is that i know nothing". Should we not try though? Just be wary of the claims of others. Do your own research. I reiterate because I don't feel you addressed it. Do you have addressable concerns about the level of research or development? If there is not a level that would satisfy you it would be more forthright to express that instead of implying it's falling short in some way.

@haitsma and I can understand that you truly believe this vaccine is for the better, and that your only trying to help people make the right decision. Its like seeing your friend doing something dumb that can endanger his/her life... if you truly care then ur gonna say "Hey, maybe you shouldn't do that." or "Hey maybe you should." whichever is for that person better interest and I respect that. Its just.... i'm stubborn and hardheaded. Its just..... I know for a fact that our government is pushing the vaccine on us to make money back... If the government had not made a stand against the virus it would be a major public relations disaster so they had to have invested a lot of money into this along side the stimulus checks that were handed out. Now they need that money back and they're pushing out a vaccine they don't know everything about... I'm just hoping that the miniscule amounts of that virus injected through that vaccine isent slowly multiplying within our bodies... thats my worry... @umi_nezumi I can understand where your coming from aswell. We should definitely try to stop the spread of the virus, and though if someone says they want to get the vaccine of course im gonna say "well... I dont know if thats a good idea, but feel free to make ur own decisions." Its not a secret, I dont like the vaccine but I wont try to prevent someone else from getting it and if the vaccine was 100% clarified and safe I would get it because I dont want the others im around to get sick or worse because of my own stubborn stupidity, but... at this stage I truly don't know if that vaccine is 100% safe. If im going to inject a deadly virus into my body when my body has already been building its own natural immunity towards this virus for 2 years now I need to know without a shadow of a doubt its safe.

I don't like seeing people pressured or fear mongered into a position. Idc what people ultimately choose. Money? The vaccines are being offered for free in the US. You don't even need health insurance. I mean they are ultimately gonna squeeze the money out of us for it, but they'll do that regardless of whether you received a shot or not. It's the government. I ended up doing a lot of research on the two vaccines available to me at the time. Traditional vaccines the thing you'd get for the flu, chicken pox, or anything else viral DO contain the actual virus. This is why they take so long to produce. You have to cultivate the virus, weaken/kill it, and then store/ship the product. These new approaches don't contain a virus. They contain RNA or DNA that gets turned into RNA. We can unironically "print" DNA with a machine. The delivery mechanisms differ. One uses lipids (fats) the other an adenovirus shell (think common cold, the original virus DNA removed). Anyways that enters the cell membrane. Once it's there it eventually end up at the ribosome. This is similar to how DNA copies coming from the nucleus end up there. The RNA is then read and your cell starts producing a bunch of spike proteins on repeat. Those exit the cell. Those look like the virus, your body raises the alarm. Eventually it kills the cell that is producing the proteins. From there it's just your immune system doing its thing.

@wolfneko So its funny because they say that my mentality is the bleeding heart mentality. The idea you care about people who you don't even know. My thought is that while people live, you'd want to curate the best possible scenario to exist in. For some, its a wild thought, but the reality is I care about what happens to people. What happens to you. That's why I believe and say the things that i do. So when I advocate for people to get the vaccine, its not because I work for or believe in the government. It's not because I think people are stupid if they don't. And its for sure not because I wanna stick it to those people and say I told you so. Its because I want what everyone else wants. For this shit to go away, and so that we can move on and live our lives. All of us.
