What is it like being a boy on MO?

If you're a guy looking for something actual meaningful and serious, it can be tough sometimes. Any time a new girl joins she gets absolutely slammed with a multitude of friend requests and messages, some of which are not very appealing which in turn scares some away. When girls tell me stories of some of the shit they've received on here, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know some of the guys on MO aren't doing other guys on here any favors. Combine that with the fact many who join this site want to treat it more like an anime facebook than an actual dating site (which is fine) limits the pool even further as well as just many people so spread out, unless you're willing to put up with a long distance relationship a lot of the time, it's not too easy to find someone even relatively close to where you are as Laff pointed out.

Lonely. But the bots on here can be fun.

I like to treat MO as an anime forum. Not really looking to secure a spouse. I think what your intentions are kinda dictate how your experience here will go.

*reads through thread* yeah, it must be tough to be the one to put themselves out there and do the work when it comes to finding a relationship. i think girls have it easier in that department im surprised kyle is having a tough time he seems like mais most eligible bachelor

@Lamby Oh yeah, that has always been one of the most annoying things guys in general have to deal with. First off we get nervous, fingertips go numb and our hearts go into overdrive. Then you have to make sure that your approach doesn't seem like a stalker/creep. Then you have to make sure that your first impression isn't total cringe. Even when you nail step 1-3 there is still a large chance that you will be rejected.
