Anime cons are a good starting place since that's usually one place where there's a decent ratio of guys to girls. Second spot would be if your local college or town might have an anime and/or gaming clubs. Most of my luck finding a 3D otaku or gamer girl generally has been through mutual friends or acquaintances.
