¬!*(Now i knw K-On is a beloved anime and i am in no way bashing it so only respected opinions so plz nuthing nice to say dont say it at alL)*!- well iv almost finished K-On and i must say, it is adorable. the humor is more "heh" and not "LOL" but the jokes r cute lil things so K-On is ok there too. though im not very into Mio or Azunyah, i looooooove Yui, shes so amazing! so the characters r good too. my problem is its classifications. i believe K-On is a Josei, no a Seinen. theres no pervy, no fan service, i mean its about friendship its not even a harem. do guys like shows that normally r all girl? i just dont understand. so i ask u, y do u think its a Seinen? and if ur male what draws u to it? just cute girls bouncing around? id really like to knw.

Well this is my honest opinion. Josei shows more aspects of family and child development which a good example of it would be Bunny Drop. As for Seinen, it focuses more on the plot and character development than anything else plus it is shown to be popular to the older male demographic. This does not always mean that it has fan service and whatnot but it can be a huge factor at times. Considering this, I would say that it would be Seinen considering that K-on doesnt really focus on the family aspect as what Josei typically emphasizes but more to character development. Think about Lucky Star and Azumanga Daioh which have a similar concept. Lastly, I think the major draw for us guys is that it is a show about cute girls doing cute things. Then again I cant speak for all of them. :)

ok u showed a good point XD but i think Lucky Star and Azumanga Daiohs different from K-On lol they may ahve been all about girls but they werent as plot oriented as K-On XP but thats a good point about the differnces of Josei and Seinen, though its not always family ties, the Josei iv gotten into were about anythign with strng feelings, like friendship which also make me think K-On was one, but i guess K-On doesnt have that deep emotional toil Joisei has. i stttiilll dont quite grasp y a guy wants to just stare for nearly 20 min at girl girls bein cute XD, where the hook XD? hmm i also think i wood have enjoyed it more if Azunyah never joined, just i watched ep after ep of he beggining eps but when she showed up idk....shes adorable but i like dengeki moe like yui more XP

I guess it depends on what you mean by plot oriented. :p As for the hook. trust me you will be surprised on what can entertain different guys. :) As for Azunyah, they needed to give the audience a typical tsundere (cold then loving personality) in the mix so that the show can keep more people interested. Then again that is my opinion on that. :D

as far as the classification of the series I honestly don't know enough to form an opinion or argument one way or the other. I did however watch this show in its entirety and was hooked about episode 3. to this day I have absolutely no idea why, but I just fell in love with the characters and think they're adorable ^.^ maybe it has something to do with me being shy and having a boring life as a result, and I just enjoy the escapism of living vicariously through the fake people in TV land. maybe it's because I was going through a period depression when I watched the series and it helped me smile during that time and gave me a reason to smile at life *shrug* either way I love the show, it makes me happy every time I watch it due to the overwhelming amount of moe lol

I'm not to big on placing animes in area's like genres but i will give my reason as to why i watched it. Like most school animes, i watched it cause it revovled around DOING something in highschool and making fun memories. My highschool was boring and i just went, sat in class rooms then went home at the end. I wish i would have picked up something. I watch school animes, so that in my next life, i have an idea of what i can do for fun or some kinda inspiration for college (which i'm in college at the moment)
