Views on our always want for power

Has anyone here heard of or read "Utopia" by Thomas More? I read a lot of dystopian society type novels and such so my view on unity is skewed. For there to be unity, there is usually some sort of authority/power at the head of it to make it function; otherwise there isn't a structure or order to follow and work with or have everyone agree. I also agree that the view on unity should be all good things and help others etc. but that just doesn't happen because everyone has different agendas and thoughts on stuff.
