It's one of those clashing moments that needs to be dropped. If one side keeps poking at it just ignore all attempts. If one or the other starts harrassing the other side take it to the mods and show them proof of harassment. Basically, drop it and ignore.

Alright here's a real question. There's someone I've been talking to for a short time, we have similar personalities and we both are clingy and touchy, we both express ourselves on feelings, so we both are on a similar wavelength except that i don't know how to moderate the quantity of time we spend talking and affection, I know for a fact that LDRs who begin too intense crumble in weeks or a few months, so how do I cope with our needs without feeling as if we weren't understanding each other while compromising healthily to work towards our own personal life goals and dreams? Basically, how do we become less.clingy, both of us, and go for a more normal interaction without feeling neglected?

It is unwise to be overly “sticky” and possessive. You two don’t really have to communicate 12 hours a day to keep the relationship going. Many couples think that they need to compensate for the distance by doing more. This is not true. And it might only make things worse. Soon you would get tired of “loving.” Did you meet this person before?
