Movie sequels you actually enjoy?

So, movie sequels can either become hit or miss in most cases they're usually not as great as the original and tend to do pretty poorly. Disney/Pixar and even Dreamworks in particular is guilty of the sequels syndrome.(Disney more so than Dreamworks) But has anyone ever had a sequel you didn't think was as bad as most people thought it was? Or maybe you thought it was a good sequel and happened to enjoy just as much as the first movie or if not better? http://www.gstatic.com/tv/thumb/v22vodart/9346/p9346_v_v8_ai.jpg For me, I actually like The Karate Kid Part 2 just as much as the original. It's my favorite sequel from the original trilogy with part 3 imo being the weakest out of the 3.( At least it was better than The Next Karate Kid) But yeah, as much as I really love the original Karate Kid, There's still a lot to like about the 2nd film.I loved the cinematography and beautiful scenery of Okinawa. Pat Morita's character, Mr. Miyagi had a bit more of a story arc compared to the first movie. And not gonna lie, I honestly liked the chemistry between Daniel and the new actress replacing his love interest from the original Karate Kid much more. You can tell there's a cultural boundary between them yet Daniel is constantly invested in learning about the culture. And I really like the way they have conversations in the movie it's just so much more interesting. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/71HQiOZsZ6L._SL1050_.jpg Shrek 2 is another movie that I usually think of when it comes to good movie sequels. It's still the best sequel out of all of the Shrek movies. The comedy was much more clever, so was the storytelling and some surprisingly good drama. I also really enjoyed the cast of characters here more as well.
