I have to make a topic on this just cuz...but, Transgender people.

So, a fair amount of crossplayers are probably also trans. Not saying that a majority are, but I'll admit it, crossplaying is one of the times I can get to be me. even if I'm being someone else. Anyway, I'd like to get your opinions on TG folk, seeing as I have not yet seen a thread for this yet. Mind you I myself don't consider myself under the label, since I feel it's unnecessary, but anyway, you can hear more about that from me personally. So...thoughts people? Willing to make friends with those who are a little more...gender challenged? Would anyone consider them for anything beyond that? Or are they simply too different? As long as we can keep an honest and civil discussion we don't need to take anything personal. - Kailyn

Now having the time, here is the short form of what I attempted to write: The transgender label actually covers a large number of sub groups, from MtF and FtM transsexuals, intersexuals ( futanari ) of which there are over 90 distinct medical conditions compounded by what ever surgical attempts have been made to make them look right, cross dressers, and others who put themselves under trans because they do not feel they fit under the traditional female and male binary. Those out side this community may not realize just how diverse the trans community can be, so considering a relationship or more may vary based on what makes a person transgndered.

Hmm hmm. I personally don't feel like Trans is a proper description of me. :P I mean, I know that's what I am...but in the end I really feel that I can be better described as a tomboy. Still very much female, just a little less on the traditional side of things. But that's just me.

That's the problem with labels, they put you into a box and for something like being transgendered, many people have different ideas about what that box defines. I once heard a story about a gal being dated by a guy who was concerned about the horizontal bikini line scar she had from an abdominal surgery, the relationship did not last much beyond his questioning the gal about the scar indicating that she was a shemale. :-/

Agreed. Labels are dumb. :l How unfortunate. *sigh* I can't tell if I genuinely hate people, or really do wish for them to change.
