Most people suggest Mediterranean Diet and WeightWatchers Diet, some mention Caveman Diet and Paleo Diet. During deep depression and low energy, I discovered Serotonin Diet.

What are you trying to accomplish? Is it just healthy living? Losing weight?
If you are trying to slim down i suggest working out (no it doesnt mean just running) i noticed i gained 8 lbs over 3 months and was getting a bit of fat over my stomach area so i cut back on my eating habits a bit and worked out my abdominals sorta forcing my body to use the stored fat rather than the food i ate. Running for at least 26 minutes every other day is good too.
If you just look for eating healthy. Its simple as taking some time out of your day to cook. If you are super busy the weekend is a nice time to cook stuff for the entire week that way you arent eating out often.
Also eating out with friends is ok, you can cheat here and there as long as it isnt a constant thing. And try to do it in moderation

I meant for better mood and better body function in being more successful in responsibilities in life.
Not just simple natural foods, but distraction-free exercising, getting Vitamin D from even dim sunlight from cloudy weather, and working in a job that's not typical and full of anything annoying much.

Hmmm not too sure what are foods that improve your mood tbh XD i just eat whatever is yummy and it makes me happy lol stuff for better body functions? Stuff like salmon is good, oatmeal, fruits, protein. Again all in moderation and if you run in the morning, be sure to get some electrolytes in the night before (i say night and not morning because ypu will get cramps water doesnt cycle through your system for like an hour...even more so if its cold). It will help out a bit, i've also heard garlic helps increase the oxygen intake. Though i took a garlic pill before running and it made me feel like i was having a heart attack. My heart was beating way too fast.
Even if you get a tiny bit of sunlight its better than nothing. Meditating is good, or just taking the time to do something where you can block out outside distractions and focus. I usually find this with my weekend cooking. Helps clear my mind
