Nah, im done. It was fun practicing debating with you though. Oh and my new profile picture is kind of a joke inspired by this debate. Its from scott pilgrim vs the world and the guy in the picture is a vegan. In the movie, being vegan gives you psychic powers. XD

So what you’re saying is, someone is beating up my steak before they kill it because they think it’s fun. Well, I agree that’s morally wrong.
Ever see lions kill a water buffalo. Talk about inflicting some pain. They’d do the same to a person in a heartbeat. Morality doesn’t factor in. You wouldn’t expect a lion to be a vegan. It’s against everything in their nature.
We are omnivores. It’s in our nature. An argument that completely denies something it’s nature isn’t valid.
We aren’t arguing that animals shouldn’t be treated properly or killed as painlessly as possible. We certainly don’t think you should beat animals when they’re still alive. But that doesn’t mean we’re going to give up meat.
Humans without technology aren’t at the top of the food chain. And animals aren’t going care about the ethics of eating us. It’s not hypocrisy. It’s simply nature.
The vegan diet is about doing the least harm to nature? Okay let debate the ethics of chicken eggs. These eggs are unfertilized. Taking them isn’t doing harm to anyone. Why do chickens even lay unfertalized eggs? We give them food and protection from predators. We get there unfertalized eggs. Seems like a pretty symbiotic relationship. Why would vegans be against eating unfertalized chicken eggs?

thats incredibly dishonest of you, to try to alter what you said. the exact words were "higher agency", not "more moral agency". wording is important and you dont get to weasel out of it by changing it. anyway if humans have higher agency than animals, then it should be ok to kill them at least as long as its for survival and it is not unheard of for people to kill for food to survive. this doesnt fit in with your arguments for veganism at all
also you're a mod, so act like one and dont make personal attacks again

yeah tots, thats kool
it was fun debating, and you dont know that it doesnt give powers >W>
sup wes
can you give me evidence to say wer obligate omnivores?
it depends what side of the debate your coming from
bare bones morals or how animals are actually treated as we speak
so basically your appealing to social contract. that means that if someone or something doesnt give me moral consideration, i have no reason to give them moral consideration
ill have to come at that with a question. is it ok to slaughter the indigenous people in the forests just because they refuse to form a social contract? are you familiar with that christian journalist that was killed by the natives on that island? is it ok to kill them for sport or land or whatever?
on the egg front, they breed chickens to pump out a shit ton of eggs, leaving them in tiny cages so small they cant walk.
i linked this before, but ill do it again here for you to see why eggs arent ethical

if you own your own hens and treat them right then eating their eggs is perfectly fine, and besides the health risks, no rational vegan could debate against that

personal attacks can happen very quickly
just by saying "Well YOU said this" for example can come off very agressive, in debates you don't want to do that and want to use arguments and logic to beat your opponent.
by the way, i don't want to be a vegan. compared to meat, animal products put out way less co2 which is why i care less about it.
