Lamby Except you forgot one huge thing. This isn't your thread so if someone says something about veganism it doesn't mean it's directed at you to answer. You took offense to it or something, you thought I was aiming it at you as if this wasn't something I could have been aiming at anybody since it wasn't your thread

Actually Lamby has not fully contridicted herself. She is debating on why its ok or not to eat animals right? She is using humans as comparison but is not directly implying it is ok to eat them either. She is simply equating animal lives to human ones and asking whats the difference and why we don't eat people.

I mean with all due respect you've already admitted to going off the rails a little bit at another person. You do have a small habit about that when it comes to certain topics and I think it may have happened again.

1. why isnt torture necessary if it makes the food taste better? 2. your reason why was feels based, not based in logic 3. so to reiterate my point, i can kill and eat you cause nature? guys can rape women cause nature? or, are we part of a society that has removed us from those basic instincts and let us evolve to become people of morals in a hypothetical to assume something is something its insinuating it is such. the dog will be tastier if beaten. is it morally ethical? why or why not? id rather we simplified this because this is kinda silly is it morally ethical to torture and kill animals?

i didnt take offense to it, its just i get a lot of people coming in to say there piece and leaving when what i want is a debate on ethics as im the only person here defending veganism, of course its going to be my responsibility to answer and of course i would assume it was directed toward me

where did i move the goalpost to, kawaii? can you explain where it was and where it went? where did you tell me i said animals have higher agency above humans? or even that the two are equal in moral agency? screen caps would be preferable but ill take a quote

But this is a thread, people enter and leave threads all the time. It's just the nature of their existence. Nobody is obligated to have a debate when they enter a thread even if that's what you want. You can't force that on to them. If it was your thread then you can make rules for that but it's not your thread with all due respect. I can understand why you'd be frustrated but some things you just have to accept even if you don't like it. If you're the only one defending it then I can feel why you if you're the only one defending it then I can understand why you would feel obligated to defend it but that doesn't mean anyone has to play by your rules when they aren't even trying to acknowledge you as a person they're talking to. I will admit that I expected that you would respond but I most definitely was not aiming the question at you alone. Anyone who could have answered my question was who I was looking for. I may have expected you would be the first one to reply but I was not speaking directly to you by any means. In which case you went on with your own idea about what this thread should be about or how the conversation with you should go and completely ignored my comment more or less and said I should speak to you specifically in a different manner when that was never my intent to begin with

Depends on whom's morality and ethics we are talking about. They pertain to an individual or a collective. Only a god could create absolute morals for each and everyone to follow

and they shouldnt xD i mean not my thread but as the only person debating veganism if someone pops in and then leaves, its not a stimulating debate for me leo is a pretty good debate partner, he makes me think of what i need to reply with properly ok kid, by your logic if i ignored the vegan drop ins not directed specifically at me, who would answer them? everyone here is pretty promeat, and only marcus has come in with some pieces of knowledge i mean alright, ill just ignore what you have to say regarding veganism that isnt a proper debate, but then again why come in here if your not looking to debate someone xD? this isnt exactly a q&a mate
