Thanos vs Darkseid

Indeed. Thanos is just an ordinary Eternal without it. Not sure how strong that would be since I'm not as caught up on Marvel lore as DC.

People think they are equal since they look similar, but each of them serve different roles. Thanos was designed to be the antagonist for a major story arc and to be mostly ignored afterwards except for direct sequels to said arc. Darkseid is a key figure in an ongoing mythology and is meant to be taken as an ever present threat in the minds of the readers. As a result the strength of each character fits the role they play, with Thanos gaining ultimate power than losing it once defeated and Dakseid being a full on god so he can always be a challenge to the heroes.

Did any of you actually watch the video? Cause a lot of your arguments are explained in the video. I was hoping to hear whether or not you agree with the outcome. I agree that Thanos can't be beat in his own universe when he has the Infinity Gauntlet. I think even if Darkseid actually entered Thanos' universe, as long as he was equipped with the Gauntlet, he'd survive. Once he decides to go to where Darkseid is, it's a wrap. You're not beating him. It's home field advantage and all that.

Also, Thanos is/was not a normal/average eternal. He was always smarter and stronger. He just enhanced himself so that no one could touch him, just in case.

There is one thing that bugged me. Even though Darkseid uses an avatar to manifest. Can he really just create a new avatar instantly like he did after being unmade from the snap?
