Plot Holes... Nitpicking or a legitimate problem?

So some of may have noticed a month ago, one user on Youtube made a video called “Shut Up About Plot Holes”. In it he argues that some of the things certain people take issues with plot holes are not even plot holes, and then argues that some of the plot holes people do take issue with are not that big of a deal, and you should enjoy movies for what they are and not be distracted by such things. http://youtu.be/j9HivyjAKlc His video has prompted a number of responses, including this one which argues most of what he is saying is wrong, and that while some the issues he points out people aren't plot holes, but people have a right to be turned off be glaring inconsistencies in stories and noticeable plot hole can and do ruin movies for people, and by giving plot holes a pass, he is giving an excuse for screenwriters to be lazy and produce films of a lower quality story-wise. http://youtu.be/9zx50GiqKjg Who is in the right?
